Core Values

As a community of faculty, staff and students, we will dedicate ourselves to the values of Commitment, Compassion, and Responsibility:

Commitment:

We will commit ourselves to the hard, serious work of learning. We will face challenges knowing that friends and teachers are here to assist us, but will also accept that we may not always at first succeed in what we attempt. We understand that our Commitment to learning means that we will do all that we can to support the learning of others in our community, so that all may develop strength and confidence as we strive together.

Compassion:

We will be compassionate in our interactions with adults and students in our school community, acknowledging each individual’s need for support, understanding, respect, and kindness. By monitoring our words and actions we will preserve the dignity of each person, creating a community in which it is safe to learn, safe to be different, and safe to grow.

Responsibility:

We will accept the responsibility of using the gift of education wisely, acknowledging that our opportunity to learn is a privilege that merits our best efforts to grow in mind and spirit. We will take responsibility for our choices as members of this community, acknowledging our mistakes when we err, and doing our best to mend that which we have broken.
