Spring Glendi

Glendi, the greek word for celebration, is an annual event where fellow parents, teachers, alumni and friends come together to celebrate the Cathedral School. If you have not had the opportunity to participate in many events this year, this is the one not to be missed! We hope to see you there and please look out for your invitation and event updates in the next several weeks.

If you could not attend the event, please click the link below to make a donation:

Glendi will be held on Monday May 20, 6:30 - 9:30pm at Korali Restaurant located at 1662 Third Avenue (on the NW corner of 93rd Street and 3rd Ave). The night promises to be a lot of fun with Cathedral School friends and family, drinks, abundant appetizers, a live auction of the children’s collaborative artwork, an amazing silent auction, and hopefully a little dancing as well!

Proceeds from Glendi are used to fund your children's classroom for upcoming academic year. Through our fundraising from this event, the PA is able to support many initiatives undertaken at the Cathedral School. This fundraiser is critical for the PA to be able to continue all of the PA's support given annually to the Cathedral School for its teachers and our children's education.

Student Art Live Auction

Every year we feature incredible student works of art where we auction off one collaborative piece from each grade, Nursery to 8th grade. The artwork used for our invitation was created by one of our budding Cathedral artists, Aphrodite from 1st Grade. The children are very excited about their grade's art auction items and we can't wait to auction off these beautiful pieces of art.

Silent Auction

The silent auction gives you the opportunity to bid on a wide variety of items. In past years this has included fencing lessons, exclusive hotel packages to exotic resorts, eclectic wines and designer items.

Honorees

Every year we honor a Cathedral School teacher and a person (or an institution) that has impacted our school and its community in a meaningful way. This year we are thrilled to honor two people who have committed their heart and soul to the Cathedral School and who contributed to our School in a very meaningful way throughout the years. From our teachers we are honoring our PreK3 teacher Ms. Nora Dilja. Ms. Nora has been with our school for over 12 years and she has always been an incredibly warm and loving teacher. Ms. Nora has always been immersed with her whole being into teaching and caring for our youngest students at the Cathedral School. We are proud to say that many of our alumni for the past several years have had the privilege of having started their years at Cathedral School with Ms Nora. From the community we are honoring Mr. Elias Lambiris. Mr. Lambiris is an alumni of the school who is also the former Cathedral School Board's Treasurer. Mr. Lambiris graduated from the Cathedral School in 1977 and he served as the School Board's Treasurer for over six years. We are thrilled to honor Mr. Lambiris and thank him for his decades-long dedication and continued commitment to The Cathedral School.

We can't wait to celebrate with you!
